My Beautiful Mother

We celebrated my Mom's birthday today, and I am such a lucky girl to have her as my mom. She is so good at everything she does, and someday I hope to be more like her. I love you mom!!! The next birthday we celebrate in our family is my sweet baby girl. In May she will be TWO!!! Lately she has been acting so grown up and independent. It still amazes me how much I love her.

Happy Easter

It has been a great Easter for us kids out here in Idaho. June has loved all of the festivities, and all the candy she has been getting. These pictures are in reverse order, so we will start with Sunday. Here is me and my sweetheart in our Easter dresses that we wore to church. Sean got a new tie, but we needed someone to take the picture. June was a little dazed after having just woke up and being told to go find eggs and her basket. The only time she really got excited is when she found her Little Mermaid Barbie doll in her basket - it can go in the tub and her hair changes colors!!!
This is all of our baskets after the "Easter Bunny" visited during the night. I forgot to include our new softball bat in the picture, but that is what Sean and I got from the bunny.

On Saturday we had an Eggstrordinary Easter Egg Hunt out at our house with all of our cousins on the Marshall side. All 13 grand kids were there and they had 175 eggs to find. It was fun to see them all lined up and ready to go.

Sean and I helped June a little bit, but she was good about putting the eggs in her basket and then looking for more.
The party was a hoot - for the kids and the moms and dads. The weather worked out wonderfully, and it was just fun to be with everybody.

General Conference

I love when General Conference time comes around. For one, I get the rare luxury of not having to get myself and June ready for 9 am church. For another, I get to listen to our dear prophet and other general authority leaders give talks that always leave me inspired to do better. We watched most of the sessions at our own house. I'd like to tell you that the picture below is of June diligently watching Conference, but I think she was tuned right in to Elmo at the time. For the Sunday afternoon session we headed out to my parents house. It was such a beautiful day after the meeting was over that we went outside to play for a bit. June loved to go high on the swing, and to jump on the tramp with Rose.

Sean got to shoot pop cans with the BB gun, and me and Sean defeated Rose and my dad in a round of Bocce Ball. It is so nice to enjoy the Spring weather. Just two days ago it snowed about 6 inches, so I was just grateful to be outside again. Hopefully we will have more days like today in the future, but we live in Idaho so anything is possible.
